I’m doing something a little bit different today and bringing you a video post! I’ve done one of these before, but thanks to the feedback from my reader survey, I heard that you want to see more videos.
I’ve heard you, friends. Even though I tend to prefer writing, I’m bringing you a video post to talk about the importance of feedback and why it’s absolutely critical to the success of your business.
Without further adieu, take a look at the video and let me know what you think.
If you can’t see the video above, click here.
P.S. Speaking of feedback, I discovered at Social Slam that apparently my current avatar makes me look 10-15 years older than I actually am! EEEK!
So, I need your help. I posted some other options on our Facebook page and would love you to vote for your favorite (or tell me I need new pictures!). Go here to check out the photos and cast your vote!

Nice work making a photo contest out of it! You also got a new “like” from me on Facebook. Good for you to open up to receiving feedback; most of us wouldn’t, won’t, don’t. Shows courage and the ability to innovate, Laura!
Thanks, Jayme. And I appreciate YOUR honest feedback. It’s tempting to hold back sometimes, but honest feedback only helps us get better. Thanks for your friendship & support!
I think you & video are a great fit – you really have such an enthusiastic energy about you.
Wow. Thanks, Jenn! It’s always so easy to criticize yourself with video (at least for me). I’d rather talk to a person than a webcam with no one on the other side. It still feels a bit funny, but I’m glad it translates well. It’s so hard to know!
Laura, you rock the Video Blog, my dear! And my oh my, you look young, but sound so wise! Seriously, you should do more video. I do them most Fridays and love it. I’m so glad you asked for feedback and got inspired to do video. Very nice!
Thanks, Erica! You made my day! I noticed you do a lot of video – you’re great at it! You’re so relaxed and personal (just as you are in real life!). Do you get a lot of good feedback from video posts? Perhaps it’s something I’ll look at doing on a regular basis.
