Bethel University’s College of Professional Studies houses the university’s adult degree programs, which caters to adults with at least three to five years of professional work experience. The college wanted to use social media to better engage with its students and alumni online with the ultimate goal of generating more word-of-mouth referrals. We were hired to build a social media strategy for the college and provide some social media training for their staff.
We developed a comprehensive strategy to help Bethel better connect with the students on the platforms they use most and in the way they prefer to receive content. We developed several cross-platform campaign ideas and also gave the university tactical recommendations for each social network to further optimize its efforts.
Since adopting our recommendations, the college is beginning to see more engagement with its social media content. It will take a long-term consistent effort for this to impact applications, but the early indications for their efforts are looking good.
