Should You Outsource Your Blog? {Podcast}

SHould you outsource your blog?

Most companies today recognize the importance of blogging and content marketing.
 But knowing it needs to happen and actually executing on that plan are two different things.
 And, if you’re like most companies I talk to, you struggle with the latter.

Perhaps you’re having trouble maintaining a consistent blogging schedule.

Or maybe you’re having a hard time getting your team to write and create content.

And if you’ve got those two things handled, it’s possible that you’re struggling to get results from your efforts and you want to know how blogging can drive more traffic, leads and sales.

If any of that sounds familiar, today’s
 episode of The Marketing Huddle is for you.

In it, we talk about how outsourcing your blog content can solve many of these problems for your business.

Outsourcing is not a dirty word when it comes to content marketing. In fact, it can improve the quality of your efforts and save you a ton of time and trouble. The trick is to outsource the right way.

That’s what we talk about in today’s episode. Here is what we discuss:

  • The benefits of outsourcing blog content and how it helps your business;
  • Potential pitfalls of outsourcing your blog and how to prevent them;
  • How to determine when it makes sense to outsource your content and when you should keep it in-house; and
  • Top tips for outsourcing your blog successfully.

Bonus Episode on the Zirtual Shutdown

While we were on the topic of outsourcing, Stan and I also recorded a bonus episode about Zirtual’s sudden collapse last week. If you hadn’t heard the news, Zirtual, a company that provides outsourced virtual assistants to businesses, unexpectedly ceased operations leaving thousands of clients in a lurch and hundreds of employees without work.

Because Stan was a client of Zirtual, he experienced this firsthand. So, we decided to record a bonus episode to share our thoughts on how the shutdown was handled.

We’ve got more details and show notes over at The Marketing Huddle.
